The other day I was driving home. It was 5:30 and already dark out. I pulled up into our driveway and saw a deer about 10 yards from my car...standing on the side of our house. I was so excited! It's always neat to see deer in our yard. Suddenly, I thought it was walking kind of strange. And I wondered why it wasn't running away. Normally they are very startled by headlights and cars. Ahhhh!!!! It was a mountain lion...standing right in front of me! You can only imagine how big it was if I mistook it for a deer. Here is a picture of a grown man holding a large mountain lion. I found this off the internet. It kind of gives you an idea of how big they can get. The one I saw was slightly smaller but definately bigger than me.
So I stayed trapped in my car and called my Dad on my cellphone to come rescue me. Here's the brave Hero of the Day!
