Pictures From the Barn Dance

Images from a spontaneous outbreak of the Virginia Reel down in the pole barn. We were supposed to be having a bonfire but it rained and so we decided to dance up a storm to match. Sisters grabbed brothers and Matthew Vawser was kind enough to be my partner. We both put all of our energy into it. He is quite the 14-year-old personality and put in a few distinct dance steps of his own. It was something like being whirled around by a little old hillbilly man with a limp going at breakneck speed. What fun! All I remember is hearing "Check out that lead couple!" being called out as we barreled up through the line. I have no pictures of the two of us, because I was the only one taking pictures and I couldn't even see which ones I was taking. Each of these are a surprise to me. I just pointed the camera into the dark and *flash*... here they are. How funny~
